This painting is derived from a video of the events leading up to 9/11, depicting the moments before the planes hit the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. The accidentally filmed video is a shaky and blurred record of how this momentous event at the beginning of the 21st century came to light. Yet, through research and imagination, the artist has attempted to render a clear picture of the moments leading up to the event. On this sunny, regular Tuesday morning, something big is about to happen. And after 0.1 seconds, the world will never be the same again.
